Functional Responsibilities:
• Support the entire Mobile Development lifecycle (concept, design, test, release and support).
• Write efficient, well-documented code in Typescript, Kotlin and/or Java.
• Perform code reviews and complete unit testing before pushing code to QA.
• Work closely with the Engineering and the Data Teams.
• Optimize application performance and responsiveness.
• Maintain existing codebases, including bug fixing, and following all coding guidelines and industry best practices.
• Working with external software libraries and APIs.
• Can effectively work and collaborate in a remote / distributed environment at an exciting, fast-paced digital health tech startup.
Qualifications:
• Bachelor of Science in Software Engineering, Computer Science, or related field.
• Knowledge of native and cross platform app development.
• Understanding of Android SDK, Android Studio, and related development tools.
• Proficiency in code versioning tools, such as GitHub.
• Understanding of agile software development.
• Willing to learn other frameworks and platforms.
• Communicate and collaborate with team members, stakeholders, and users to understand requirements and provide updates.
• Ability to work autonomously, while reaching out for help when questions arise.
• Participate in IT and product tech support as needed.
Nice to Have:
• Experience with iOS (swift) code
• DevOps Experience
• Familiarity with mobile app security best practices and performance optimization techniques.
