Hello! I’m Aiden, Director of Product Design at Customer.io.
Customer.io is looking for a Senior Product Designer to join our product design team. We’re working hard to build a product that enables companies to communicate authentically with their customers in inventive and flexible ways. You'll join a team of highly skilled and empowered designers in a remote and distributed company of about 250 team members across 17 countries.
This role will join our growth team, where you’ll envision and run experiments to help new customers get started with Customer.io more successfully. Product growth designers embrace rapid iteration and experimentation. A successful candidate will be expected to apply their prior experience and expertise in growth and activation, coupled with a creative and high-craft approach to designing product solutions.
This role will partner with a product manager and a team of engineers to lead a squad through experimental approaches at driving activation and reducing time to value. You'll partner with growth marketing leaders to develop hypotheses and growth strategies, measure the success of experiments, and develop a deep understanding and ownership of self-service activation. You'll push the entire design team to create more impactful experiences by giving actionable feedback, iterating on team processes, and holding people accountable for our culture and quality standards.
While your daily work will be as part of a cross-functional squad, the design team will be your home for support and growth. We meet as a design team multiple times each week to give feedback on in-progress work, and communicate daily about new things we learn, improvements to our design system, and collaboratively define and develop our design culture.
Our mission at Customer.io is to power automated communication that people like to receive. Today over 5,300 internet businesses use Customer.io to manage, send, and track performance of emails, SMS, push notifications, and in-app messages. Unlike typical marketing platforms, Customer.io helps businesses increase relevance by using behavioral data: what people do or don’t do when logged in to a web or mobile app.
We are offering a starting salary of $140,000-$155,000 USD (or equivalent in local currency) depending on experience and subject to market rate adjustment.
Customer.io takes a market-based approach to pay, and pay may vary depending on your location. U.S., and international, locations are categorized into one of four zones based on a cost of labor index for that geographic area. The successful candidate’s starting pay will be determined based on job-related skills, experience, qualifications, work location, and market conditions. These ranges may be modified in the future.
Zone 1: USD $167,000 - USD $186,000
Zone 2: USD $153,000 - USD $170,000
Zone 3: USD $140,000 - USD $155,000
Zone 4: USD $112,000 - USD $124,000
