The Community You Will Join
We have multiple positions available across the following teams:
Reservation Management - Order System
The Reservation Management team owns critical surfaces, flows, and platforms surrounding the post-booking Airbnb experience for our guests and Hosts. Within our Guest & Host organization, among other areas this team owns the systems responsible for recording all orders at Airbnb and providing a scalable foundation (Order System) for additional products such as travel insurance, Experiences, and more. With users around the world, development speed, reliability, scalability, and efficiency are our team’s core concerns.
As a Reservation Management - Order System Staff Engineer, you’ll provide hands-on technical leadership to a team of talented, diverse software developers to operate and improve our core Reservation / Order Platform and build the groundwork for additional Airbnb products!
Trips
The Trips team is a small, full-stack, product team that is responsible for building the most delightful traveling products for Guests and Hosts. As soon as a guest makes a booking, our product takes over to ensure guests have a 5 star experience staying with Airbnb. This includes the Trips Tab where a guest can find their Reservation Details, showing a timely Arrival Guide (launched in Spring 2021), managing co-travelers, getting reminders for upcoming trips, finding interesting experiences and generally other trip planning things. Along with that we work on the Host product to ensure hosts can perform crucial tasks like respond to incoming reservation requests, make special offers, manage upcoming/active reservations and all other reservation management related tasks. The Trips team’s work directly and materially impacts every Airbnb booker’s and host’s journey!
Currently, the Trips team is seeking a strong Backend engineer who can drive product projects, work cross functionally with PMs/Designers/DS/x-team and is passionate about owning/improving the foundation on which the products are built. We are a tightly knit team that cares for each other and are looking for candidates that are excited to uplift the team culturally. Full stack engineers with strong backend expertise are also encouraged to apply!
