Vice President of Technology - Sustainable Luxury Travel

Salary Range: $95k – $125k with 3.0% equity
Preferred Location: Portland, Oregon (or open to relocating at own expense)
Possible Location: Somewhere in the Pacific Time Zone

About Us
Wild Nectar Immersive Travel Collection, a rising star in the $1.2T global luxury travel market, is pioneering sustainable luxury travel. With $2M in revenue since our inception in September 2021, we are gearing up for rapid expansion. Our mission is to cater to eco-conscious Baby Boomers and Gen-Xers, offering them immersive travel experiences while combatting climate change.

Key responsibilities include:

• Strategic Technology Leadership: Crafting and executing a long-term technology vision that aligns with our mission of sustainable luxury travel, ensuring our tech infrastructure supports rapid growth and global expansion, as well as the ability to represent the company’s vision during angel and VC meetings.
• Software Solutions Research: Proactively researching and evaluating potential software solutions to enhance our operational efficiency, customer engagement, and sustainability impact. This involves staying abreast of emerging technologies and trends in the travel industry and beyond, assessing their viability and fit for our business needs.
• Frontend Maintenance: Working closely with the design team to oversee and maintain the customer-facing portions of our website and applications, ensuring an intuitive, aesthetically pleasing, and seamless user experience that embodies the luxury and sustainability aspects of our brand.
• System Integration and Optimization: Leading the integration of HubSpot with other key systems, ensuring seamless data flow and functionality across our technology stack to optimize sales, marketing, and customer service processes.
• Innovation and Scalability: Developing innovative technology solutions that scale with the business, enhancing our ability to deliver exceptional, sustainable luxury travel experiences to our clients.
• Collaborative Strategy Development: Working closely with the other members of the executive team and other departments to ensure technology strategies and systems are fully integrated with Wild Nectar’s overall business goals, particularly focusing on enhancing our sustainability initiatives and customer service excellence.

Qualifications
• 8+ years in engineering or tech, with significant leadership experience.
• Strong project management skills and the ability to capture technical requirements.
• Proven ability in software architecture, system integration, and scaling, with expertise in cloud computing, CRM (specifically HubSpot), data warehousing, and AI/Machine Learning.
• Experience with procurement of technology solutions and working with external vendors.
• Startup or small company experience and willingness to “wear many hats” in the beginning.
• Entrepreneurial spirit.
• Any experience with AI or Machine Learning is helpful.

We’re currently fundraising. We’re also entering a 6–8-month high-energy period where we’ll be pushing hard to drive revenue and make a start on our tech stack. During our raise, we'd ask you to attend angel and VC meetings while you keep your current job or consultancy. Once funded, we'll hit the ground running and your salary and full-time job with benefits will begin.
