ABOUT THE POSITION

Columbia Sportswear’s Digital Technology group (CDT) enable an IT infrastructure across four global brands, a global supply chain, and 500+ geographically dispersed stores. These teams support in-store, mobile, and data platforms to enhance customer interface and service in an ever-evolving industry.

As a Workday Product Owner, you will be responsible for managing and optimizing our Workday Human Capital Management (HCM) system. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure the successful implementation, configuration, and maintenance of Workday modules. Your role is crucial in driving the strategic direction of Workday initiatives to enhance HR processes and improve overall efficiency.

HOW YOU'LL MAKE A DIFFERENCE

  • Be the voice of the customer for the engineering team with the What and Why. Translate stakeholder needs into well-written stories which allows the engineering team to deliver the product
  • Define and execute the product vision
  • Prioritize work with the various stakeholders and resolve discrepancies
  • Maintain the Product Backlog for the teams, establish acceptance criteria and participate in agile ceremonies
  • Refine roadmap, backlog and priorities based on internal and external end-user feedback to balance needs of the users with the need to maintain the lifecycle of services. Execute the product vision and roadmap. Gather requirements and work closely with engineering partners to ensure deliverable  are met.
  • Incorporate governance strategies for technology lifecycle, security, compliance, operational performance, and user experience
  • Oversee the configuration of Workday modules to meet business needs.
  • Ensure the system is optimized for performance and user experience.
  • Stay current with Workday updates and industry best practices.

YOU HAVE

  • Bachelor's Degree in Business or Computer Science OR related field or related work experience.
  • Minimum of 3-5 years of experience as a Product Owner or in a similar role, preferably with Workday HCM.
  • Proven experience in managing HR technology projects.
  • Strong understanding of Workday HCM modules and functionality.
  • Workday certification(s) preferred.
  • Experience driving roadmap strategy and definition, developing technical requirements, product roadmaps and backlogs, and end-to-end product delivery
  • Workday certification(s) preferred.
